Step 1 - Estate Planning Questionnaire
You complete a questionnaire
that provides information about your family and financial situation. |
Step 2 - Initial Meeting
We meet to discuss your wishes regarding a Last Will
and Testament or Trust. We also discuss Tax Planning. Please bring the completed
estate planning questionnaire to the meeting. The advice that I give you
will be based on the information in the questionnaire. Also, bring copies
of other important legal documents that pertain to your property such as
deeds, divorce decrees and life insurance policies. |
Step 3 - Preparation of Documents
After our initial meeting, I prepare
your Will or Trust and send you a draft for your review. |
Step 4 - Second Meeting
We meet to discuss any questions you have about
the documents and make the changes that you request. When you are
satisfied, the documents are signed, witnessed and notarized. |
Step 5 - Changes to Property and Financial Documents
After you sign
your Will or Trust, you must change the way certain financial or property
interests are held to make them consistent with your estate plan. Failure
to make the proper adjustments could defeat your estate plan. |
